June is here and turbulent times.
Time continues to fly by, warmer weather heralding summer. It is hard to believe that we are already halfway through the year. And what a year it has been so far.
Most businesses are slowly opening and trying to adjust to their new normal.
There has been so MUCH going on with the world.
Right now, there are protests and unrest across the country with Black Lives Matter.
Even when I am not personally involved in the tug of war, I feel the anger, resentment, and hurt.
Many people feel it and you might too. I know many who can’t sleep, struggle to concentrate and feel a weight on their heart from all the pain.
In the last couple of months, I've seen a surge in pain, anxiety, and depression-related cases in my office.
In recent weeks, my personal safety was threatened because a patient had a meltdown due to severe anxiety and schizophrenia.
I had to do the right thing for the family which was to refer her to a psychiatrist.
It would have been much easier to just put the blame on the mentally ill person and move on.
But, my loving awareness allowed me to step outside the praise and blame paradigm to help her.
It’s ok to need help in this world. Life is not easy, especially right now.
When we are unconscious, we are easily caught in the states like judgment, anger, rigidity, compulsion, and prejudice, we can blindly act out our feelings.
We all have gone through troubling emotions at some point in time. We all have some shadows.
Using awareness and compassion together can help loosen the grip they have on us.
To help you manage crisis and stress, below is the link to my video on managing stress using acupressure and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).

May you be held in compassion
May your pain and sorrow be eased
May you be at peace.
